    Role Overview

    To efficiently and effectively provide commercial and procurement support to the business,
    implementing commercial/procurement processes and systems to deliver and improve commercial
    reporting and performance of the business.

    What you'll do
  • Carry out commercial review and risk analysis of contracts at all stages of a project
  • Provide commercial links between Site Agents, Project Managers and Directors
  • Provide commercial links within the Bidding / Tendering team such as Cost Lookouts
  • Assist, prepare, coordinate and actively manage contractual claims
  • Control, monitor and manage external commercial consultants such as legal and technical
    advisers
  • Resolve contractual issues or disputes, including claims, litigation, arbitration and
    adjudication, as required
  • Develop and maintain awareness of Health and Safety and other relevant regulations to
    inform decision making
  • Subcontract Package Preparation & Orders (COINS)
  • Commercial Reporting / CVR’S / Contract & Subcontractor Final Accounts
  • Tender Enquiries and support on Tender Preparation
  • Subcontract Enquiries, Comparisons, Selection
  • Key Material Supply Agreements, Comparisons & Selection
  • Processing of Client/Subcontract Valuations/Payments/Assessments/CE’s & Final Accounts
    in COINS.
  • Review and implement Commercial Procedures
  • Administer Bonds & Warranties
  • Subcontract/Material & Labor Reconciliations
  • Cash Flow Forecasts
  • Commercial Coordination with Site & Senior Management Team
  • Review subcontracts and provide operational advice
  • Amend standard form contracts and draft or review bespoke contracts
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably required including travel as necessary
  • Contribute to the Senior Management Team to optimize the company’s financial
    performance and strategic position.
  • Contribute fully to the development of company strategy across all areas of the business,
    challenging assumptions and decision making as appropriate and providing financial
    analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
  • Ensure the Company’s systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and fit
    for purpose.
  • Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies.
  • Working Capital & Operating Cycle payment management.

    What you'll do (continued)
  • Advise and review the procurement of Orders, Consultancy or Service Agreements and
    processing of Goods Received Notes for Invoice Matching, monthly costs.
  • Continual and constant cost control monitoring, interrogation of costs, investigate and
    mitigate cost variances as necessary.
  • Proactive procurement & supply chain analysis, conformance to Commercial Procedures to
    enhance commercial value and operational delivery.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, Property Tax, Sales & Use Tax &
    Business Licenses.
  • Process, calculate and submit manage Monthly Salaries via Paychex Flex.
  • Process, calculate and manage T Rowe Price, 401K safe harbour plan.
  • Manage, and coordinate AssetTagz for equipment inspections, defects and locations.
  • Equipment depreciation and allocation to projects.
  • COINS Contract Set Up
  • Company Insurances, coordinate with Agent, additions, disposals, amendments, notices and
    renewals, including annual WC’s/Commercial Auto audit.

  • Inter-departmental relationships within the company including accounts staff, payroll,
    bidding, operational and administration staff.
  • Client / Subcontractor contact regarding contractual issues
  • Contact with relevant bodies, consultants, advisers and experts in dispute resolution and
    arbitration

    What you’ll bring:

    Key Skills
    :
  • Experience in a commercially focused role
  • Experience or qualification in commercial/contract law or certification (including working with and negotiating contracts)
  • Expert/Advance Level Microsoft Excel user
  • Ability to communicate to a high standard, both written and verbally
