The Considerate Constructors scheme rewards the top-performing registered sites that have demonstrated the highest level of considerate construction towards the public, the workforce and the environment. The awards are only presented to the highest performing sites inspected by the Considerate Constructors Monitors.
The A8 Belfast to Larne Dualling project won a gold award at the Considerate Constructors Scheme 2016 National Site Awards in the category for projects valued at £10m and over. The project, a Joint Venture by Lagan Specialist Contracting Group, Ferrovial Agroman and Costain, was undertaken on behalf of Transport NI. The Restoration of Mount Stewart, delivered by H&J Martin Construction & Fit Out, achieved Gold at the site awards in the category for projects valued at £500k to <£5m.
The Green Port Hull site also picked up a Considerate Constructor award for their project (a Joint Venture by Lagan Specialist Contracting Group and Graham) at Alexander dock in Hull. The site won Silver at the awards for projects valued at £10m and over.
