About us
Charles Brand currently have a team delivering work in Scotland and with recent growth in the region we want to establish a team based in Scotland.
We have already delivered several schemes in Scotland including:
- Inchcape: Cable landing facility in Cockenzie £10m
- Edinburgh Airport: Resurfacing and ground lighting £10m
- Lossiemouth Wastewater Treatment Facility and outfall £24m
We have recently been awarded: - Corran Ferry Port Infrastructure works near Fortwilliam £26m
- Peel Ports Framework - Lot 2SC - Scotland Marine Construction - Glasgow and Strathclyde
Role overview
Are you a Graduate Engineer looking to build your experience in an exciting and diverse business? If the answer is yes, then Charles Brand want to hear from you! We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in site operations, from site set up to completion. This role will commence working on Corran Ferry Crossing in Scotland, however once completed there will be other exciting projects across the UK and Ireland.
What you'll do
You will have the opportunity to get involved in some of the following areas
• Design and development of civil engineering projects including Marine, Civil Infrastructure & Rail
• Conduct site visits and investigations
• Prepare technical reports, drawings and specifications using CAD software
• Support Project Managers in planning, budgeting and scheduling tasks
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment and quality regulations
• Collaborate with architects, surveyors and contractors to ensure project success
• Monitor construction progress and provide technical support on site
• Analyse data and provide recommendations for engineering solutions
What you'll bring
To succeed as a Graduate Engineer, you will have;
• Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management or other relevant area
• Minimum of 40 weeks work experience within Civil Engineering or Construction
• Full driving license, permitting driving within the UK/Ireland
• Flexibility to travel to sites
• Confidence with IT, including MS Office packages
It would also be desirable to have;
- CSR, CSCS or Safe Pass card/certificate
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
