As a H&S administrator, you will use your knowledge and skills to support and promote a positive H&S culture and provide H&S support on our sites throughout the UK and Ireland.
You will ensure company employees and subcontractor workers fully comply with all relevant H&S legislation, company H&S policy and ensure industry good practices are adopted and adhered to.

What you'll do
Your role will involve:

  • Maintain and update H&S records, including training records, incident reports, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare and distribute H&S reports, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage and coordinate H&S systems.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, dealing with correspondence related to H&S.
  • Maintain an effective filing system and ensure the security and confidentiality of information.
  • Support incident investigations and preventive actions.
  • Support health & safety programs, including training and competency frameworks.
  • Participate in wider Group Health, Safety and Wellbeing initiatives.
  • Act as the first point of contact for H&S inquiries, both internally and externally.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, managers, and other departments regarding H&S matters.
  • Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance
  • Make contact with contractors for up to date information
  • Analyze existing H&S data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collate safety observations and near miss reports
  • Track and monitor performance against H&S targets and metrics.
  • Assist with the preparation of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Support the delivery of H&S training programs.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of H&S policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and distribute toolbox talks and safety alerts.

What you'll bring
Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience working in the Construction Industry.
  • Full Driving License.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of H&S legislation, risk assessment, and safety culture development.
  • Proficiency in IT systems.
  • Flexibility for UK & ROI travel.

Desirable Criteria:

  • The National General Certificate in Occupational H&S - delivered by NEBOSH
  • Membership of appropriate accredited industry body -eg: IOSH (Technical or Grad IOSH).
  • The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and as an individual.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001, 9001, 14001
