H&J Martin completed the Retrofit installation of over 900 powered bus shelter lighting systems to a number of existing shelters in Dublin.
These were installed on sites that had no access to grid power. The bespoke LED lighting provided advertising illumination that was more uniform, more vibrant and with a better colour rendering than fluorescent lamps.
In addition there is no ongoing cost of power, reduced maintenance and a saving of up to 2 tons of carbon per shelter per year. The bus shelters are now using smart technology to regulate the flow of electrical current, which ensures the shelter lights only come on between the hours of dusk and dawn, thus further reducing energy consumption
