FK Lowry Welcomes Civil Engineering Undergraduates

28 Jun 2022

FK Lowry Piling recently welcomed twenty-five Civil Engineering students to one of their local projects. Students from Belfast Metropolitan College visited the £200M Farrans/Sacy JV Belfast Transport Hub Project.

The students were welcomed by David Bolton, Project Manager, from Farrans/Sacyr and following a HSEQ briefing the students sat a CPD Piling Presentation on piling & ground engineering, after which the students were able to view the piling operations on site.

FK Lowry are currently delivering the £2.7M CFA Piling Project on the site with their Soilmec SR-75 and SF-65 Piling Rigs

The Belfast Transport Hub Project is the largest Building and Civil Engineering Project that has been undertaken in Northern Ireland for many years. The project is transformational for Transport Infrastructure for the people of Northern Ireland and we at FK Lowry are delighted to play our part in delivering the scheme. We are really pleased to welcome the students to site today and have built up a really good relationship with Belfast Met and their Civil Engineering Department. It will be wonderful to see these students entering the industry and we look forward to keeping in touch
