Highways England appoint Lagan Construction Group and SISK as JV contractors for North Tyneside road improvement

The £40m contract to carry out improvements to the A19/A1058 Coast Road in North Tyneside will be constructed by Lagan Construction Group and John Sisk & Son as a joint venture. The contract is part of a record £15 billion investment by the Government in road improvements over the next 6 years, with works commencing in 2016.

The scheme will also improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists by providing two new shared use bridges over the A1058 slip roads.
